North Georgetown is an unincorporated community in western Knox Township, Columbiana County, Ohio, United States. Although unincorporated, it has a post office, with the ZIP code of 44665.〔(Zip Code Lookup )〕 The town itself is located at the intersection of Georgetown Road (County Hwy 400) and Rochester Road (County Hwy 402). North Georgetown was laid out in 1830. The Stage Coach Inn, founded in the early 19th century, was once a stop-off point for stagecoaches travelling to nearby cities. Now a restaurant, the building itself has history. It is said that it was once part of the Underground Railroad, helping to hide fleeing slaves during the Civil War. North Georgetown is home to two churches: Emmanuel Lutheran Church was formed in 1813 and is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. First Brethren Church was formed in 1892 and is affiliated with The Brethren Church (Ashland, Ohio). Just west of town is Reading Church of the Brethren, founded in 1825 and affiliated with the Church of the Brethren. All three churches work cooperatively to serve the community. ==References==
